Job summary

STV, a leading engineering firm in New Jersey, is seeking a CAD Technician / Modeler to join our transportation team. You will create construction drawings and 3D models using MicroStation and BIM tools, collaborating with engineers and designers to meet client standards.

This role requires independence, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while producing accurate project documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Drafting & Design or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years' transportation drafting/modeling experience.
• Proficient with MicroStation, Bentley tools and Revit, and CAD/BIM workflows.
• Ability to work independently and solve technical challenges.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Experience in project CAD/BIM environments and software workspaces.

Responsibilities

• Create and develop construction drawings and 3D models per standards.
• Prepare transportation design deliverables: plans, profiles, sections, exhibits.
• Coordinate CAD/BIM information with multidisciplinary teams.
• Identify and resolve drawing and modeling issues with minimal supervision.
• Manage multiple assignments to meet schedules and deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with client standards and workflows.
• Support production of accurate project documentation.
