Job summary

STV Group is seeking a CAD Technician/Modeler in our PA/NJ office to perform highway and bridge drawing and model development on large-scale transportation projects using Bentley tools.

You will prepare construction package drawings, develop plans and sections, and coordinate CAD/BIM information across disciplines while meeting client requirements and CAD/BIM standards. Strong independent work, problem solving, and teamwork are essential to manage multiple projects under tight schedules.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Drafting & Design or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of transportation drafting/modeling experience.
• Strong proficiency with MicroStation, Bentley Modeler, Revit, plan and detail development, presentation, and CAD/BIM standards.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems, and carry responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously under aggressive deadlines.
• Familiarity with different software workspaces and project-specific CAD/BIM environments.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Preferred experience with Microstation Bentley OpenBuildings OpenBridge OpenRail; experience on MTA or major transportation agency projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop construction package drawings and models using established CAD/BIM standards and client requirements.
• Develop plans, details, sections, and other transportation-related deliverables.
• Work with project teams to coordinate CAD/BIM information across multiple disciplines.
• Troubleshoot modeling and drawing issues and resolve problems with minimal supervision.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities while working within aggressive project schedules.
• Follow client-specific standards, workflows, and software workspaces.
