Job summary

ETM Inc. is seeking an Area Leader for our Transportation Group in Orlando to lead the design of complex roadway infrastructure projects for FDOT and local agency clients.

This senior role combines project management leadership, technical design expertise, and client relationship management to deliver high-quality projects from concept through construction support. You will guide the Central Florida practice, grow backlog, mentor staff, and pursue new business opportunities while maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.).
• Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in transportation engineering.
• Significant experience leading pursuit efforts, developing proposals, and participating in interviews.
• Demonstrated experience managing budgets, schedules, teams, and client communications on multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation of the group including business development, client engagement, backlog growth, and revenue generation.
• Lead and mentor design engineers and technicians in highway and traffic engineering projects.
• Manage projects through all phases from planning to construction support with scopes, schedules, budgets, and staffing.
• Serve as primary client contact and develop strong relationships with public-sector clients.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across survey, environmental, geotechnical, and GIS support staff.
• Identify opportunities for follow-on work and lead business development initiatives.
• Recruit engineers, designers, and staff to grow the Orlando team and support career progression.
