What You’ll Do and Who We Are Looking For

Under the general direction of the Transportation and Parking Manager, oversees and ensures District-wide safe and efficient day-to-day shuttle and parking operations. Plans, organizes, and coordinates work flow to maintain consistent levels of service to internal and external clients. Participates in the recommendation and administration of operational policies, procedures and processes. Keeps accurate records and inventories related to planning, accountability, shuttle operations, ridership, and customer service within the PCC community and to affected neighborhoods. Supervises Transportation and Parking technical/support staff.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree in Administration, Urban or Transportation Planning, or related field (relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis).
  • Four years of transit and/or parking experience, including one year of lead or supervisory experience (successful completion of PCC LEAD Academy or a comparable external leadership training program may substitute for up to 6 months of lead or supervisory experience).
Success Criteria
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with their team and other departments. You may be responsible for creating and sending emails, filling out paperwork and communicating with other supervisors.
  • You should be able to clearly explain tasks and expectations to your team and be able to answer any questions they may have.
  • Have leadership skills and involvement within an organization
  • Responsible for ensuring that vehicles are in good working order.
  • A thorough understanding of the transportation system and the ability to identify potential problems and develop solutions.
  • Use problem-solving skills to ensure that their team has the resources they need to complete their work.
  • Need to be able to make decisions quickly and accurately. Transportation needs, including whether to purchase new vehicles
  • Excellent organizational skills, track of employee schedules, vehicle maintenance records, medical and UA testing.
  • Communicate effectively with their team and other departments. You may be responsible for creating and sending emails, filling out paperwork and communicating with other stakeholders.
  • Explain tasks and expectations and be able to answer any questions.
  • Leadership to ensure employees complete their work on time. Leadership skills can also help you delegate tasks and motivate employees to learn new skills.

How We Determine Initial Salary Placement

Minimum $68,007 to range midpoint of $83,305. Placement will generally not exceed the mid-point, based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
