Job summary

Broward Children’s Center in Pompano Beach, FL is hiring for a Full Time role supporting maintenance and transportation operations at our facilities. You will help ensure all buildings and grounds are safe, functional, and compliant while coordinating daily tasks and preventive maintenance with the Transportation and Facilities Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing the daily maintenance operations of all facilities.

Works with Transportation and Facilities Supervisor to see that all facilities, grounds are safely working and in good condition.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or vocational school training. Hands-on-experience necessary.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Valid Florida Driver's License, HIV Course, CDL P/S
• A Confidentiality Agreement is required and must be signed upon commencement of service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintenance Operations

• Assist with managing the daily maintenance operations of all facilities.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules.
• Assign and monitor work orders.
• Perform facility inspections.
• Conduct routine safety inspections.
• Coordinate outside contractors and vendors.
• Monitor HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
• Assist with emergency repairs.
• Maintain maintenance logs and inspection records.
• Track maintenance expenses and purchase orders.
• Assist with annual budgeting.
• Ensure compliance with AHCA, OSHA, Life Safety Code, and local regulations.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Assist in preparing for state inspections and surveys.

Transportation Operations

• Assist with daily transportation scheduling and driving.
• Coordinate driver assignments.
• Monitor vehicle availability.
• Review vehicle inspection reports.
• Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are current.
• Track vehicle registrations, insurance, and licensing.
• Assist with accident investigations.
• Monitor GPS and fleet management systems.
• Assist with transportation documentation and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, FDOT, ADA, and organizational policies.
