Broward Children's Center in Pompano Beach, FL seeks a dedicated nursing assistant to provide routine daily care to medically fragile residents aligned with care plans and under supervision.

You will assist with personal care, basic nursing tasks, monitor vital signs, and document changes while maintaining resident dignity and confidentiality. This full-time role offers a supportive team and opportunities to work with a developmental pediatric population.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 3–6 months related experience or training.
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures and work under supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily dental and mouth care.
  • Assist residents with bathing, dressing and hair care.
  • Shave male residents; keep female residents shaved.
  • Change bed linens and position bedfast residents.
  • Maintain intake and output records; report changes as instructed.
  • Record temperatures, pulse and respirations as instructed.
  • Assist in transporting residents as needed.
  • Provide eye and ear care as instructed.
  • Assist with application of nonsterile warm/cold compresses.
  • Give medications as directed by nurse/supervisor.
