Tyson Foods is seeking a Transportation Analyst to sit 100% onsite at our Corporate location in Springdale, AR. This role sits within the Project Management and Implementation space, delivering technical and analytical results to support Distribution technology and operations across Warehousing and Transportation.

The successful candidate will work with Program Managers and Sr Leadership to define requirements, build backlogs, and guide projects from inception to implementation, ensuring

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
  • Experience with project management tools (Jira, ADO, MS Project).
  • Knowledge of transportation and distribution systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Understand current business strategies and roadmaps; evaluate technologies to address needs.
  • Define and analyze business requirements with Program Managers and Senior Leadership.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to build project plans and timelines for new systems/processes.
  • Assist project leads to meet objectives on time and on budget.
  • Onboard users to new systems and new processes through training.
  • Define KPIs and ensure adherence throughout a program.

Job description

This position will sit 100% onsite at our Corporate 412 West location. Priority consideration will be given to those who currently reside within a 50-mile radius of Springdale, AR.

As a Transportation Analyst in the Project Management and Implementation space you will be empowered to make a difference in the lives of Tyson team members every day. You will have the opportunity to network and influence a variety of roles inside and outside of Tyson while defining and overseeing project timelines, requirements, and final implementations. The primary purpose of this position is to deliver technical and analytical results to support the Distribution technology roadmap and operational projects across both Warehousing and Transportation. Current objectives are focused on growth of Distribution capabilities in support of business objectives. This position is responsible for performing analysis on existing processes and systems and delivery of projects and processes to end users and stakeholders. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of transportation-related activities by leveraging technology and refining workflows to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.

What you are responsible for:
  • Understanding current business strategies and roadmaps and evaluating existing or new technologies to address these needs
  • Work with various Program Managers, Directors, and Sr Leadership to define and analyze business requirements and maintain various backlogs
  • Coordinate with cross functional teams to build out project plans and timelines for introductions of new systems or processes
  • Assist project leads to ensure all project objectives are met and on time/budget
  • Work alongside training team to onboard users to new systems or incorporate new processes
  • Inform and ensure KPIs are defined and adhered to throughout the entirety of a program
REQUIRMENTS
  • A Resume Is Required To Be Considered For This Role
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Computer Skills: Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, and SharePoint. Knowledge industry TMS systems, SAP, and/or Fleet Maintenance applications a bonus. Project management application experience (Jira, ADO, MS Project, etc.). Experience with AI Platforms (Claude, Co-Pilot, Gemini, etc).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to both internal leadership and third-party vendors/contractors providing statuses of systems and updates in new software research and overall project facilitation. Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical team members.
  • Travel: Some travel may be required. Amount of travel will be determined by individual project requirements.
