Job summary

The Transportation Account Manager builds and sustains relationships with external customers, manages daily operations with shippers and carriers, and seeks ways to reduce costs while increasing Kenco’s revenue and margin.

The role focuses on coordinating load planning, tendering, and performance reporting, with travel ~25% and a strong emphasis on data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Accounting or Finance or equivalent transportation management work experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of applicable experience within transportation management services (load planning, carrier management or customer service).
• Strong PC skills and proficient with all Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide work direction to team members assigned to the account and develop team members to improve bench strength.
• Serve as the primary contact for dedicated transportation management customers and foster relationships that increase revenue and margin for Transportation Management.
• Oversee inbound/outbound load planning, shipment tendering, safety and overall customer service within contractual guidelines and security requirements.
