Job summary

The Addison Group is seeking a Transport Scheduler for a contract-to-hire assignment in Bridgeport, NJ. You will arrange internal and customer-facing transportation of equipment, order vehicles for deliveries and pickups, and build cost-efficient transport plans.

You will coordinate fleet movements across regions, manage inventory of cables and equipment, schedule weekly counts, and support fellow schedulers with logistics, fuel, and cross-border documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, specialized diploma, or vocational training.
• Experience in supply chain, logistics, or transportation.
• Strong attention to detail and a data-driven approach to problem solving.
• Well organized, able to meet deadlines and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Arrange internal and customer-facing transportation of equipment, including ordering vehicles for deliveries and pickups.
• Build cost-efficient, optimized transport plans and coordinate fleet movements between regions and depots.
• Manage inventory of ancillary equipment such as cable, duct, hose, and circuit breakers.
• Schedule weekly inventory cycle counts.
• Support fellow schedulers with equipment, fuel, and re-rental coordination.
• Organize inter-company equipment transport and ensure customs and cross-border documentation is complete.
• Process purchase orders, invoicing, and cost reallocation for inter-company movements.
