Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Transport RN in Sun City, AZ to move cardiac monitored patients across the campus. This busy role supports multiple departments and includes helping patients travel to procedures and imaging, with an expected average of 15K steps per day.

The position is full time (36 hours weekly) with a 9:00am–9:30pm schedule and some weekends/holidays. A $3.00/hr weekend shift differential applies where eligible and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN license in state of practice and BLS certification.
• Acute care hospital experience is desired for this role.
• Arizona fingerprint clearance and related requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and discharge planning as part of core nursing duties.
• Formulate and adjust plan of care with patient/family and care team.
• Provide direct patient care and supervise activities of the health care team.
• Evaluate outcomes and revise the plan of care as needed.
• Document care accurately in the patient record and communicate with team.
• Promote evidence-based practice and mentor staff when appropriate.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and care coordination.
• May supervise staff and workflow within the unit.
• Collaborate with other departments and external contacts for patient care.
