Job summary

Pediatric Health Choice, a PHS company, is seeking a Transport Driver in New Orleans, LA to safely transport children in the PDHC program. You will assist with loading/unloading with a medical escort and maintain accurate documentation.

You'll work with a supportive team, follow schedules, perform vehicle checks, and communicate clearly with families. CPR certification and driving experience preferred for this rewarding role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (vocational/technical training preferred).
• CPR certification is required.
• One year of experience in commercial driving or chauffeuring is preferred.
• Experience caring for children with medical needs is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old (21 preferred).

Responsibilities

• Safely transport children enrolled in the PDHC transportation program.
• Assist with loading and unloading children from transport vehicles with a medical escort.
• Follow transportation schedules and complete required documentation.
• Conduct thorough vehicle checks to ensure nothing is left behind.
• Collaborate with the transport coordinator to troubleshoot issues.
• Communicate with caregivers and families about transportation details.
• Respond to emergency situations during transport when necessary.
• Maintain a positive, harmonious environment for children and staff.
