Job summary

The University of Washington Department of Surgery invites applications for a faculty position as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor (WOT) in Transplant Surgery. The successful candidate will join a busy program at UWMC-Montlake and SCH, with 70% clinical time and a 12-month appointment.

Teaching, research, and service are expected across locations. Base salaries are tiered by rank (Assistant $30,000–$33,334; Associate $37,500–$45,417; Professor $45,834–$58,334 per month)

Qualifications

• MD degree (or foreign equivalent) required.
• Board eligibility by the American Board of Surgery, including USMLE steps.
• Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Washington.
• H-1B visa sponsorship requires completion of all three USMLE steps or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical transplantation procedures and related clinics.
• Participate in candidate selection, pre/post operative care, and donor organ evaluation.
• Engage in teaching, research, and service, including resident/fellow training.
• Share in the standard call schedule for adult and pediatric abdominal organ systems.
