Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a Procurement Transplant Coordinator I to support organ and tissue procurement programs in Alabama. The role covers referral response, evaluation for suitability, obtaining authorization, donor management, and recovery.

Initial training aims at proficiency in LOH procedures with limited travel. The position provides education assistance and benefits, and supports career growth in a mission-driven health system.

Qualifications

• CRT or RRT, LPN, RN, or PA licensure; or prior procurement transplant coordinator experience.
• Public speaking and strong interpersonal skills required.
• Limited travel may be necessary; CPTC certification within 24 months preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate all portions of the organ donation process from referral through recovery and allocation.
• Learn and apply LOH organ and tissue procurement protocols and procedures.
• On-the-job training until proficiency is reached.
