Job summary

University of Rochester seeks a Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator to respond to organ donor referrals, evaluate donors in the ICU, allocate organs per UNOS/OPTN policy, and coordinate organ and tissue recovery with hospitals. This full-time remote role requires a Bachelor’s in Nursing or related Allied Health field and 2 years ICU/pre-hospital experience.

On-call availability is required (15 days per month, including 2 weekends). CPTC certification must be obtained within 2 years.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage complex tasks and coordinate multiple time sensitive responsibilities.
• Availability to be on call 15 days per month, including 2 weekends.
• ACL S/TNCC preferred training and prior transplant coordination exposure.

Responsibilities

• Responds to potential organ donor referrals at area hospitals and evaluates donors.
• Allocates organs according to UNOS/OPTN policy and coordinates recovery.
• Travels to donor hospitals to assess potential donors and arranges for transportation of teams.
