Albany Medical College, Division of Nephrology, seeks a board-certified or board-eligible Transplant Nephrologist to join a growing abdominal transplant program in New York. The role blends transplant and general nephrology with teaching and academic opportunities.

The position offers inpatient and outpatient care, living donor and recipient evaluations, and active involvement in program development within a collaborative, system-wide academic environment.

Qualifications

• Fellowship in Transplant Nephrology from an accredited program.
• MD/DO with nephrology board certification or eligibility; NY licensure.
• Academic experience or potential for appointment at Assistant/Associate Professor level.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient transplant care and multidisciplinary transplant rounds.
• Outpatient transplant clinics: pre-transplant recipient evaluations, living donor evaluations, post-transplant follow-up.
• Participate in organ offer review and recipient selection discussions as transplant volume grows.
• Engage in quality improvement and transplant program development initiatives.
• Teaching opportunities with residents, fellows, and students.
