A leading hospital in Florida seeks a Transplant Hepatologist to join their esteemed Liver Transplant program. The role involves comprehensive clinical responsibilities, teaching, and mentoring within a collaborative environment. For over two decades, TGH has been a leader in organ transplantation, performing more than 12,000 transplants since its inception. The Liver Transplant program actively engages in clinical research and currently has ongoing clinical trials in HCC, NASH, and HCV. This position encompasses the full scope of clinical and transplant hepatology, along with teaching and mentoring rotating medical students, residents, and gastroenterology fellows from the University of South Florida (USF). TGH serves as the primary teaching hospital for the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine, providing monthly GI fellow and surgery resident rotations on the Liver Transplant Service.
Our program performs approximately 145 liver transplants annually since 2019. The Transplant Institute is supported by four Liver Transplant Surgeons, seven Hepatologists, and six Hepatology Advanced Practice Providers, including a dedicated Hepatology Hospitalist team. We are the only hospital in West Central Florida performing adult heart, lung, kidney, pancreas, and liver transplants. We are recognized as a top 10 Liver Transplant Program.
