Job Summary:

The Heart Transplant Program at HCA Florida Largo Hospital is seeking an Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join its employed practice.

HCA FL Largo Hospital, located in the Clearwater-Tampa Bay Area, has 455 licensed beds and is the regional referral center for advanced heart failure, VAD, heart transplantation, and ECMO care. In 2023, the Program performed 29 heart transplants.

Qualified Candidates:

  • Must be board-eligible or certified
  • Must hold or be able to obtain an active Florida Medical License before start
  • Strong communication and team-building skills
  • Manage heart failure patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, including preoperative evaluation of cardiac transplant and LVAD patients
  • Manage patients on a rotational basis through the inpatient phase post-transplant and post-VAD
  • Participate in the management of post-transplant and VAD patients
  • Preference for, but not required, candidates with experience in the catheterization lab for right heart catheterization and endomyocardial biopsy
