Job summary

Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons invites applications for a full-time clinical faculty position in the Center for Liver Disease & Transplantation (CLDT). An Assistant or Associate Professor level transplant hepatologist is sought to join the Abdominal Organ Transplant Division within the Department of Surgery.

The candidate will provide comprehensive hepatobiliary care, including pre- and post-transplant management, on-call Liver service coverage, and participate in

Qualifications

• MD degree or equivalent from an approved LCME medical school.
• Completed an ACGME approved fellow in gastroenterology and transplant hepatology.
• Board eligible/certified in gastroenterology and transplant hepatology.
• Meet UNOS qualifications as a transplant physician.
• Licensed to practice in NY, NJ, and CT.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for hepatobiliary patients, including pre- and post-transplant care.
• On-call coverage of Liver service.
• Educate fellows, residents, and medical students.
• Participate in outreach and in clinical and/or basic science research.
• Contribute to compliance and quality care programs.

Education
