Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a Transplant Financial Coordinator to assist patients with financial planning for transplant surgery, VAD implants, and related medical needs. The role focuses on assessing insurance coverage and facilitating financial clearance, while maintaining accurate billing and documentation.

You will work within the transplant program to provide up-to-date input in team meetings and support patients with funding options, including Medicare/Medicaid and other assistance

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 5 Years Experience in medical billing (hospital and/or professional).
• Associate's Degree is preferred.
• Transplant financial counseling and billing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive financial counseling to transplant patients and families.
• Assess insurance coverage and financial clearance for transplantation and VAD implants.
• Document all interactions with patients and families accurately.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure timely financial clearances and avoid denials.
