Saint Luke's is seeking a Transplant Financial Specialist to assist pre- and post-transplant patients with financial planning for their transplant surgery and future medical needs. You will assess insurance coverage and financial situations, including immunosuppressant drug coverage, and ensure billing compliance.

You will participate in the patient selection committee, providing up-to-date input on financial clearance, and ensure transplant authorization is documented in the patient record.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' insurance coverage and financial situation for transplantation and immunosuppressant drug coverage.
• Ensure program billing compliance.
• Attend and participate in the patient selection committee by providing input on financial clearance for transplantation.
• Ensure authorization for transplant is documented in the patient's record.
• Communicate with coordinators and case managers to keep the team informed of patient financial status.
• Assist patients with making insurance changes when needed.
