Job summary

You will work with government and private insurers to ensure smooth transplantation processes, maintain thorough documentation, and support patients throughout the financial aspects of care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED required.
• All certifications are required upon hire.
• Minimum 2 years physician office/hospital scheduling/financial services experience including insurance verification.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance coverage and benefits for transplant-related services and coordinate pre-certification with required parties.
• Educate patients on transplant insurance benefits and financial issues; assist with coverage gaps and alternative funding options.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation and timely data entry in OTTR and EMR systems.
• Communicate clearly with the multidisciplinary team to obtain financial clearance and update insurance status as needed.
• Support continuous education and adherence to Wellstar Health System policies and guidelines.
