UVA Health System seeks a Transplant Financial Coordinator to guide patients through insurance coverage, financial planning, and authorization requirements across the transplant journey. This role connects patients, insurers, and the transplant team to establish secure financial plans and timely authorizations.

Formación

• High School Graduate or Equivalent required.
• 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of health insurance and patient access processes beneficial.

Responsabilidades

• Meet patients to discuss insurance coverage and financial expectations.
• Develop individualized financial plans for transplant patients.
• Coordinate transplant authorizations and track issues to resolution.
• Review insurance information for accuracy and identify coverage barriers.
• Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and payer contacts to move cases forward.
• Document communications clearly and maintain patient-centered documentation.
