Job summary

Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring a Transplant Coordinator RN for the Advanced Heart Program. You will coordinate transplant/VAD evaluations, the transplant process, and follow-up care, while leading the care team to ensure patient safety and smooth donor/recipient journeys.

The role requires a BSN, Virginia RN license (or compact), BLS within 90 days, and CCTC within three years, with at least two years of related nursing or transplant experience.

Qualifications

• BSN is required.
• Virginia RN license (or multi-state) is required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• CCTC certification must be obtained within 3 years of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of related nursing or transplant experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the transplant/VAD evaluation, process, and follow-up care.
• Provide clinical leadership to care team and manage outcomes.
• Facilitate complex logistics of organ transplantation with focus on patient safety.
