Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring a Transplant Coordinator RN for the Advanced Heart Program. You will coordinate transplant/VAD evaluations, the transplant process, and follow-up care, while leading the care team to ensure patient safety and smooth donor/recipient journeys.

The role requires a BSN, Virginia RN license (or compact), BLS within 90 days, and CCTC within three years, with at least two years of related nursing or transplant experience.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN license (or multi-state) is required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• CCTC certification must be obtained within 3 years of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of related nursing or transplant experience.

City/StateNorfolk, VAWork ShiftMultiple shifts availableOverview:Sentara Heart Hospital located on the campus of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia is hiring a Transplant Coordinator Registered Nurse for the Advanced Heart Program!The Transplant Coordinator plays a critical role in facilitating the complex logistics of organ transplantation while prioritizing patient safety and well-being while ensuring a smooth and efficient journey for both the donor and recipient.The Transplant Coordinator coordinates the clinical management of the transplant/VAD patient including the transplant/VAD evaluation, the transplant/VAD process and follow-up care.
