Job summary

Keck Hospital of USC seeks a Transplant Coordinator II to support transplant programs, triage calls, and coordinate donor organ offers. This role requires RN licensure and five years in organ donation or transplantation.

You will collaborate with surgeons, coordinators, and the Organ and Tissue Donation Team to ensure smooth organ recovery and placement. Responsibilities include 24/7 on-call coverage, evaluating consults and labs, and maintaining UNOS CMS-compliant documentation in a high-stakes

Qualifications

Must have an RN license (CA DCA) and nursing degree.
Five years of clinical experience in organ donation or transplantation.
Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
Knowledge of UNOS policy and CMS regulations related to organ allocation and waitlist management.
Familiarity with Cerner or UNOS computer systems.

Responsibilities

Take and review deceased donor organ offers and supervise Donor Allocation Specialist.
Coordinate organ recovery with transplant team and related staff.
Manage 24/7 on-call coverage on rotating schedule.
Ensure timely listing, delisting and reporting for all solid organs.
Communicate effectively with surgeons, recipients, and donor hospital staff.
