Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing or Doctorate in Nursing Practice required.
• 2 years transplant coordination experience with organ-specific requirements.
• 2 years organ procurement experience and 2 years critical care experience.
• Excellent communication skills in English (read, write, speak).
• Knowledge of medical procedures and apheresis in accordance with policy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and participate in medical/surgical management for transplant/end-stage disease patients in inpatient or outpatient settings.
• Perform comprehensive histories and exams, develop differential diagnoses, and implement care plans.
• Order medications, diagnostics, and procedures; track results.
• Organize patient flow from referral to evaluation, education, post-transplant follow-up and community referral.
• Participate in interdisciplinary research, process improvement, or evidence-based practice activities.
• Attend professional meetings; maintain affiliations and professional development.
• May participate in on-call rotations including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Other duties as assigned.
