Job summary

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related RN experience typically needed.
• Active Florida RN license required; BLS and relevant life support certifications.
• Nursing assessment and clinical decision making for transplant patients.

Responsibilities

• Receive and interpret organ offers via OPTN/UNOS Donor Net.
• Process offers with acceptance or decline codes within 60 minutes.
• Coordinate donor–recipient matching and waitlist management with the transplant team.
• Educate patients about organ offers, risks, and informed consent.
• Document all communications and outcomes in UNet/MIRACLE and OTTR databases.
• Support transplant event logistics from admission to postoperative care.
