Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other management team members, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with policies/procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s values to support an excellent patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

What you will do in this role:

• Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality care.
• Participate in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and managers to foster teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
• Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
• Operationalize current nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly rounds, to improve engagement.
• Provide recommendations for interviewing, selecting, and training new staff. Implement courses of action related to training, conflict resolution, and performance evaluations.
• Assist with staff scheduling, managing labor according to patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Support inventory control and manage supplies and equipment.

Qualifications:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BSN required.
• Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience required.
• Charge RN experience required.
