Qualificações

• PharmD or BS Pharmacy Degree.
• Active pharmacist licensure with the NC Board of Pharmacy, or eligible before initiation of employment.
• BCPS or BCTXP, and PGY1 or PGY2 residency preferred.
• No prior experience required.
• Recent graduates may fill this role while pending licensure, with limits until board licensure is obtained.

Responsabilidades

• Receives, interprets, and reviews prescriptions; clarifies issues with prescriber or nurse as appropriate.
• Uses patient data to provide optimal drug therapy recommendations and makes clinical interventions.
• Prepares and dispenses medications including sterile products following standard formulas and procedures.
• Complies with formulary and therapeutic substitution programs to optimize therapy and control costs.
• Documents notations in medical records and completes required compliance documentation.
• Counsels patients and families regarding pharmaceutical care matters as needed.
• Directs workflow and supervises pharmacy technicians and students on shift.
• Adheres to all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Identifies opportunities for process improvement and quality initiatives.
• Precepts students and residents and assists in training new staff.
