Job summary

UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC, seeks a Clinical Pharmacist to provide pharmacotherapy and patient care for adult abdominal and thoracic transplant populations. You will work in a multidisciplinary team across transplant, renal and general medicine services, focusing on medication reconciliation and patient counseling.

Requirements include a PharmD or BS Pharmacy, NC licensure (or eligibility), and the option to pursue BCPS/BCTXP with PGY1/PGY2 residency.

Qualifications

• PharmD or BS Pharmacy Degree
• Active pharmacist licensure in NC or eligible to obtain before employment
• Board Certification (BCPS) or Transplant Pharmacist (BCTXP) and PGY1/PGY2 residency preferred

Responsibilities

• Receives, interprets, reviews medication profiles and intervenes on problems
• Provides pharmacotherapy services and patient counseling
• Oversees dispensing of medications and sterile products
• Documents and complies with policies, track records and program requirements
• Precepts students and participates in training new staff
• Directs workflow and supervises technicians and students
