Fields Chrysler Jeep Ram in Asheville, NC is seeking an experienced Service Technician to diagnose and repair vehicle systems with a focus on CDJR transmissions. You will handle repair orders, perform tests, and ensure quality service, collaborating closely with the Service Advisor to update customers on results and timelines.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in service tech roles, CDJR transmission certifications, and strong customer-service skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Service Technician experience.
• 3+ years working with CDJR transmissions.
• CDJR Training Level with Transmission Certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Positive, friendly attitude with a customer service mentality.
• Team player.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
• Ability to learn new technology and operate electronic diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and AC.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about needed additional services and provide time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
