Job summary

Fields Chrysler Jeep Ram is seeking an experienced Service Technician to perform repairs and diagnostics in a fast-paced dealership environment. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and delivering quality service to customers.

The ideal candidate will have CDJR transmission experience, a current transmission certification, and strong customer-service skills to work with team members and Service Advisors on time estimates and repair planning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Service Technician experience.
• 3+ years with CDJR transmissions.
• CDJR training level with transmission certification required.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform work on repair orders with efficiency.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose components with diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering and brakes.
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional repairs and time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Service Technician experience required, 3+ years working directly with CDJR transmissions
• PHASE 3 CDJR TRAINING LEVEL, With Transmission Certification a must
• Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent customer service skills
• Basic Computer skills
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
• Team player
• Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable motor vehicle driving record according to dealership guidelines
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
