Job summary

HDR Engineering is seeking a Transmission Project Manager/Team Lead to join our expanding Power Delivery group in Billings, MT. The role oversees high-voltage transmission projects from inception to closeout, guiding teams and coordinating with leadership and clients.

The ideal candidate has FE licensure (PE preferred) and strong PM, client management, and staff leadership experience across transmission teams. Montana salary range reflects market conditions for senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• 7+ years of related experience including project management
• Strong client management, marketing and business development skills
• Ability to interact with multiple design teams and lead a local transmission team
• FE license required and PE license strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead transmission projects through full life cycle.
• Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Coordinate with marketing and leadership for business development.
• Build and supervise a local transmission team and oversee workload and quality.
• Oversee non-engineering components such as public involvement and permitting.
• Lead QA/QC processes on projects and ensure world-class quality.
• Mentor and supervise PMs, Project Engineers, EITs, and designers.
