Job summary

Dairyland Power in La Crosse, Wisconsin is seeking a Project Manager I to provide administrative and project coordination support for Extra High Voltage (EHV) Transmission Line projects. The role includes assisting with project planning, execution, stakeholder management, and budget tracking, ensuring project completion safely and on time.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 2 years of project coordination experience, and skills in project management software. Benefits include health & disability benefits, 401(k) plans, paid time off, and more.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in project coordination, engineering, construction, or a related field preferred.
• Exposure to transmission line projects, utility environments, or project management processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing project plans, including scope, schedule, resources, and budget.
• Provide administrative support for day-to-day project activities.
• Assist in preparing for project meetings and documenting meeting minutes.
• Assist in tracking project expenses and maintaining financial records.
• Support compliance with industry and regulatory standards.

Skills

Basic understanding of transmission line design, construction, and regulatory requirements

Developing communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks with guidance

Exposure to project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)

Education

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, civil engineering, construction engineering/management, or a related field
