Job summary

Entergy Texans, Inc. — GTX is seeking a Manager, Transmission Lines to lead maintenance, capital renewal, and emergency response for the TX transmission grid. You will guide engineers, manage contract crews, and ensure safe work practices across projects, while coordinating with multiple internal teams.

The role requires strong leadership, scheduling, budgeting, and a deep understanding of transmission line standards. Onsite role with travel up to 25% and relocation options available.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• With BS: at least 6 years of transmission related utility experience.
• Without BS: at least 10 years of transmission related utility experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety culture for transmission line employees and contractors.
• Manage engineers that develop transmission line design packages and ensure projects are on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with engineering staff and internal/external customers to ensure projects meet standards.
• Direct response personnel to address failures and outages and maintain 24-hour coverage.
• Assist in development of annual capital and O&M work plans and manage project schedules.
