Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC in Florida seeks a Class A Lineman to construct and repair transmission systems on energized and de-energized lines. You will travel to diverse job sites, lead crews when needed and train apprentices, always prioritizing safety and proper procedures.

You will work with overhead lines, cranes and related equipment, handle safety briefings, and support outages or emergencies. This role requires climbing, lifting and willingness to work long hours and out-of-state assignments.

Qualifications

• Five years of recent transmission line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willingness to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift/cull/position up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work extended hours and out-of-state assignments.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance and repair on energized/de-energized transmission systems.
• Lead crew in absence of IC; conduct pre-job and tailgate safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and ground workers.
• Install/repair overhead transmission lines, poles, insulators, conductors and hardware.
• Operate and maintain bucket trucks, digger derricks and other line equipment.
• Work outdoors in extreme conditions; participate in outages and on-call rotations.
