Job summary

5 Star Electric, LLC is seeking a Transmission Lineman – C Class to join our field operations in the Western Kentucky area. The role emphasizes safety, outdoor work, and direct customer interaction as you install, repair and maintain electrical distribution equipment.

The candidate will climb poles, operate service trucks, and read meter data while adhering to safety standards and company policies. A Class A CDL, OSHA 10, and background checks are required, with on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience or equivalent hours.
• Valid Class A CDL and current medical examiner card.
• Criminal and MVR background checks and pre-employment drug screen.
• Must complete OSHA 10hr Safety Training within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Thorough knowledge of methods, practices and equipment of electrical line work.
• Climbs poles and performs repairs.
• Digs holes and sets poles for lines.
• Strings wire on new construction or repairs lines.
• Sets and connects transformers and other distribution equipment.
• Responds to work orders for disconnections, reconnections, and new orders.
