Job summary

5 Star Electric, LLC is seeking a Lineman - C Class to join our Western Kentucky team. The role involves climbing poles, installing and repairing distribution lines, transformers and related equipment, and performing on-call duties as needed.

Strong safety awareness and the ability to work in varied weather are essential. Required is a valid CDL Class A, current medical examiner card, and completion of OSHA 10-hour Safety Training within 60 days.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of lineman experience or equivalent
• Completion of OSHA 10-hour Safety Training within 60 days
• Ability to travel for training and potential overtime including storm work

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical line work with knowledge of safety hazards and precautions
• Climb poles and work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Read and record data from meter dials accurately
• Operate service truck and other distribution equipment
• Repair and install transformers and distribution lines
• Respond to work orders for disconnections, reconnections, and new service
