Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Transmission Line Project Manager to lead complex power delivery projects in the Mid-Atlantic region. The role requires strong leadership, client relations, and a track record in planning, scheduling and controlling project scope and budget.

The ideal candidate holds a related bachelor's degree, 7+ years of experience, and a minimum of 2 years in project management, with preference for US Citizenship and Mid-Atlantic residency. HDR values employee ownership and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single-discipline projects or large, routine projects
• Independently coordinate work of professional staff and balance team throughout entire project's development
• Establish client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
• Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for compliance
• Conduct work sessions for design development and contract document in conjunction with other staff
• Coordinate workload through entire project development, and ensure completion of documents on schedule
• Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to schedule
• Work with Business/Accounting Manager or Project Controller and Department Manager for project reviews and with company management as needed

HDR is looking for a Transmission Line Project Manager to join our growing and nationally ranked team of Power Delivery professionals. In the role of Transmission Line Project Manager, we'll count on you to:

• Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single-discipline projects or large, routine projects
• Independently coordinate work of professional staff and balance team throughout entire project's development
• Establish client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings

• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer
• PMP certification
• Experience in advancing digital delivery and AI-supported workflows in infrastructure projects
• Due to client contract requirements US Citizenship required.
• Preference given to candidates currently residing in the Mid-Atlantic (VA/MD/DC) Area

Required Qualifications

• 7 years related experience
• A minimum of 2 years project management experience
• Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills
