Job summary

HDR is hiring a Transmission Line Intern in Ann Arbor, MI. This internship targets current students or recent graduates with limited power delivery experience. You will assist engineers, follow directions, and participate in field reviews while developing critical engineering skills.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.

• Preferred: 2 years toward degree with GPA 3.0
• Knowledge of engineering software packages related to field
• Courses in Power/Energy are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in preparing design packages, performing simple calculations, attending internal meetings and field reviews.

Primary Responsibilities

HDR, Ann Arbor, Michigan location, is looking for a Transmission Line Intern to join our team of professionals in a rapidly growing and nationally ranked company dedicated to engineering excellence. The selected candidate will be a current student or recent graduate with little to no power delivery experience. In this position you will be expected to

• Perform tasks with varying levels of complexity, which are assigned by a Project Engineer, Project Leader, or Project Manager
• Tasks will include being able to follow direction, assisting engineers in preparing design packages, performing simple calculations, attending internal meetings and participating in field reviews.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with a minimum of 3.0 GPA
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
• Courses in Power/Energy a plus

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
