Xcel Energy is offering a transmission line engineering internship based in Minneapolis. You will support civil and electrical engineers in the design and maintenance of the high voltage transmission system, complete detailed design and reviews using design software, and be based at the 414 Nicollet Mall office.

The internship runs with a May 24, 2027 start date and may extend beyond the initial term based on performance and business needs; travel to local job sites is required and a hybrid work

Qualifications

• Current student and pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering.
• Junior or higher standing in college/university.

Responsibilities

• Support design and reviews for the high voltage transmission system.
• Perform structural, foundation, and clearance analyses as part of internship duties.
• Provide material support for engineering projects.
