Job summary

LCRA is seeking a motivated Transmission Line Engineer to join our team to deliver a growing portfolio of critical transmission projects. You will work with experienced engineers to review designs from external consultants, coordinate with Project Management, Construction, Substation Engineering, Real Estate, Planning, Permitting and Operations, and help move projects from scoping through closeout.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
1+ years post-Bachelors engineering experience.
Driver's license.

Responsibilities

Support transmission line capital projects from scoping through design, construction and closeout.
Review work by external consultants to ensure designs meet requirements and codes.
Assist with reviews of line models, calculations, drawings, specs, and IFC design packages.
Coordinate with PM, Construction, Substation Eng, Real Estate, Planning, Permitting, Operations to resolve constraints.
Provide engineering support during construction by assisting with RFIs and field condition reviews.
Contribute to improving transmission line engineering standards and workflows.
