Kimley-Horn's Phoenix, AZ office is seeking a Transmission Line Engineering Analyst with 2+ years of relevant experience to join our diverse and fast-paced organization. You will design high and extra-high voltage transmission lines, produce construction documents, and provide field support during project execution.
The role emphasizes client relationship building, technical leadership, and collaboration with a team of engineers.
Qualifications
- ABET-accredited BS in Engineering or ABET-accredited BS in Engineering Technology with FE exam.
- 2+ years of transmission line design experience.
- MS in Civil Engineering may substitute for 1 year of experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
Responsibilities
- Design high and extra-high voltage transmission lines using PLS-CADD.
- Prepare plan and profile drawings, loading trees, and foundation drawings.
- Develop specifications and project design criteria.
- Provide field support during construction.
- Lead and mentor junior staff; coordinate with clients.
- Travel to client sites as needed.
