Job summary

WSP USA is offering a full-time Electrical Engineering (Transmission) Intern position to be based in Tulsa, OK. This 12-week summer internship is for undergraduate or graduate students joining our Power and Energy team, with a program start aligned to May 17, 2027.

You will assist with research, field work, preliminary design calculations, and documentation, while learning fundamental electrical engineering concepts in a real project setting and receiving mentorship from senior staff.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering program with anticipated graduation Aug 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Demonstrated interest in Electrical Engineering and willingness to learn.
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly to engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Ability to take direction from mentors and managers.
• Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, and spreadsheets.
• Commitment to workplace safety and policy compliance.
• Authorized to work in the United States at internship start.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic principles of Electrical Engineering.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
• Support preparation of final design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
