Job summary

WSP has an opening for a Full-Time Mechanical Engineering (Transmission) Intern in our Tulsa, OK office as part of the Summer Internship Program. The 12-week program starts May 17, 2027, with opportunities to work on real projects alongside senior staff.

As an undergraduate or graduate student, you will support engineering tasks, learn fundamentals of mechanical engineering, assist with design calculations, and help prepare plans and cost estimates while gaining mentorship through the Developing

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in Mechanical Engineering or related program with anticipated graduation August 2027 or later.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, spreadsheets, and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic principles of Mechanical Engineering.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
• Support preparation of final design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
