Job summary

Kids for the Future in Wolfforth, TX is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to support distribution and transmission projects. You will operate backhoes, excavators, bulldozers, loaders, trenchers, and cranes under the Crew Foreman's guidance, focusing on safety and efficiency on outdoor job sites.

Requirements include 1–2 years of heavy equipment experience, high school diploma, and ability to pass background, MVR checks, and drug screening.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years experience operating heavy equipment.
• Ability to pass background, MVR, drug screen, and physical.
• Basic knowledge of safety practices and PPE usage.
• Ability to read blueprints or work orders is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment (backhoes, excavators, bulldozers, loaders, trenchers, cranes) for distribution and transmission projects.
• Prepare sites by clearing debris, grading, trenching.
• Maintain safety protocols and PPE usage.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and report malfunctions.
• Load and transport equipment and materials as needed.
• Keep accurate equipment usage and maintenance records.
• Communicate with supervisor and team to complete tasks safely.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Assist with other tasks as directed by Crew Foreman.
• Participate in training to improve skills and safety practices.
