Kids for the Future in Snyder, TX is seeking an Equipment Operator to operate heavy machinery for distribution and transmission projects, under a Crew Foreman. The job emphasizes safety, efficiency, and outdoor work in varied weather.

The role requires 1–2 years of hands-on experience, a High School diploma, and a CDL is preferred but not required; must obtain Class A within 6 months. Responsibilities include site prep, maintenance, load/transport, and documentation.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience operating heavy equipment in utility/construction environments.
• CDL preferred but not required; must obtain Class A CDL within 6 months of hire.
• Must pass background, MVR, drug screen, and physical.
• Strong safety knowledge and ability to read blueprints or plans.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment (backhoes, excavators, bulldozers, loaders, cranes) for distribution and transmission projects.
• Prepare job sites by clearing debris, grading, trenching.
• Adhere to safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and report malfunctions.
• Assist with loading/transport and document equipment usage.
• Communicate with supervisor and team to ensure safe, efficient operations.
