Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 Year of Prior Equipment operating experience In a related field
• OSHA 10hr Safety Training
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a Class A CDL with Medical Examiner’s Card

Responsibilities

• Passes tools to line crew or network crew members by acting as a general helper on the ground.
• Assists line crew with setting poles by shoveling or piking; fills anchor holes.
• Clears undergrowth from right-of-way by using hand tools or saws and performs general clean-up of job sites.
• Positions reels of electric cable beside trenches and lays heavy URD cables in ditches and pads.
• Notifies customers of impending disruption of service while lines are under repair.
• Flags traffic to protect employees and the public from injury.
