Job summary

Race Winning Brands is seeking a Transmission Component Assembly Technician in Charlotte, NC. This full-time, 1st shift position supports existing customers, investigates warranty claims and collaborates with sales, build and test teams to resolve issues.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of hands-on automatic transmission experience and an associate degree in automotive technology. Strong diagnostic skills and commitment to safety are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of hands-on automatic transmission experience including disassembly, diagnosis, rebuilds and road testing.
• At least 3 years in technical support or customer issue resolution in automotive aftermarket.
• Experience with 2500 and 3500 diesel pickup, performance Powerglide, TH400 and 4L80E transmissions.
• Diagnostic skills with scan tools, pressure tests, wiring diagrams, oscilloscopes and multimeters, including hydraulic and electronic control issues.

Responsibilities

• Put safety first and never pass on a defect.
• Work like a pit crew and find better, faster, smarter ways to work.
• Resolve customer issues with transmission systems and components.
• Investigate warranty claims and parts issues, including root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with technical sales, product build and test teams to resolve customer concerns.
• Track recurring issues to catch problems before they lead to warranty claims.
• Serve as main contact for existing customers on reworked products and issue tracking.
• Diagnose complex transmission problems and communicate findings to customers and non-technical staff.
• Take ownership of your work and look for ways to improve.
• Help keep the workplace safe, organized and respectful.
