Job summary

Ameren Services (B&CS) seeks an Engineering and Construction Supervisor to lead the construction of new transmission facilities and the maintenance of existing transmission lines. You will manage onsite field work and coordinate 20 to 100+ contractor personnel on contracts up to $20 million, while mentoring a Construction Engineer.

Responsibilities include safety and quality audits, progress reporting, and ensuring adherence to specifications, schedules, and budgets. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.
• Seven+ years of project construction or project leadership experience required.
• Supervisory or team/contractor leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite field management for electric Transmission projects and manage 20 to 100+ contractor personnel for construction contracts up to $20 million.
• Provide mentorship to Construction Engineer.
• Initiate and evaluate jobsite safety and quality control procedures and audits.
• Maintain day-to-day surveillance of construction activities and ensure contractor compliance with specifications.
• Facilitate construction progress meetings and document progress reports; address issues to resolve safety, cost overruns or schedule delays.
• Provide constructability review of specs and drawings to optimize materials and techniques.
• Assist with development of the critical path schedule to ensure achievable activity duration.
